US-based Hartville Group, a provider of pet insurance, has introduced new plans that will expand coverage in the ASPCA Pet Health Insurance program and offers customers to protect and care for their pets.

The expanded coverage will include 90% reimbursement of eligible veterinary expenses, treatments for hereditary, congenital conditions and higher per-incident limits, among other new benefits.

The new plan will be rolled out on a national basis, however in some states they are not made available yet due to pending approvals from state Department of Insurance.

Customers with Hartville’s previous plans can visit any licensed veterinarian in the US or Canada and all pets over eight weeks old are eligible for accident coverage, and plans with illness coverage.

Since 1997, Hartville has been offering pet insurance in the US through its agency, and it is the only strategic partner for pet insurance with the ASPCA. It offers pet insurance under the brand names ASPCA Pet Health Insurance, Hartville Pet Insurance and Petshealth Care Plan.
