The Hartford Financial Services Group has named Lisa Morgan as the new senior vice president of its middle market commercial insurance business, succeeding Sean Fitzpatrick.
In her new role, Morgan will lead Hartford’s $2bn middle market commercial insurance unit and will report to Hartford commercial markets president Juan Andrade.
Morgan, who recently served as vice president of middle market operations, had joined the company in 2001 and held positions of increasing responsibility in its property and casualty claims department.
She joined the middle market team in 2005 as assistant vice president of planning and development and prior to joining The Hartford, Morgan spent six years in private law practice.
Andrade said that Lisa’s experience and expertise, ranging from claims and talent development to underwriting and agent-broker relationships, will help the company capitalize on a strategic market opportunity.
