Sircon's technology to manage and administer insurance regulations relating to enforcement case actions, complaints, company licensing, and producer data

Georgia Department of Insurance has expanded its relationship with Sircon, having signed a multi-year agreement to use Sircon for States web-based regulatory service.

According to Sircon, under the terms of the agreement, Sircon’s responsibilities include replacement of several of the department’s legacy systems to allow consumers, insurers, and agents to do business with the department in a streamlined manner.

Sircon said that phase one of the Georgia Department of Insurance’s Sircon for States implementation was completed in December 2008, and automated the department’s company admissions, document tracking, producer licensing and continuing education functions. Phase two of the project is expected to be complete in May 2009, and will include implementation of the Sircon for States rate and form, consumer complaints, enforcement case and regulatory examination modules.

Sircon also said that the Georgia Department of Insurance will leverage its technology to manage and administer insurance regulations relating to enforcement case actions, complaints, company licensing, and producer data.

Gary Gummig, vice president of e-government and business development at Sircon, said: We are pleased to work with the Georgia Department of Insurance. We look forward to introducing Sircon’s network of carrier, agency, education-provider and individual-producer subscribers to new online services the Georgia Department of Insurance will be able to offer as a result of this partnership.
