Genworth Financial, a service provider through three segments including retirement and protection, US mortgage insurance and international, has appointed Timothy Herr as the new senior vice president of Brokerage General Agency Distribution.
According to Genworth, Mr Herr, will be part of its distribution and marketing sales leadership team. He joins the company with around 30 years of experience in the insurance industry. Most recently he was president and founder of Preferred Strategic Partners, a consulting firm that focused on facilitating strategic alliances in the financial services industry.
Prior to that, Mr Herr, held several senior management positions with AXA Insurance Companies, including AXA’s Equitable Life Insurance Company, US Financial Insurance Company, MONY Group, and AXA Partners.
Before joining AXA, Mr Herr was a consultant with Ceres Group and EVP and chief marketing officer with American Chambers Life Insurance Company. He began his career with the Mutual of Omaha Companies where he held positions in several areas, including distribution and reinsurance.
