Government Employees Insurance Company ( GEICO), member of the Berkshire Hathaway family of companies and provider of auto insurance, has appointed Don Robinson as new assistant vice president.
In this new role, Robinson will be responsible for managing underwriting, sales and service for the company’s Lakeland, Florida regional office.
Most recently, he served as the region’s director of service. He joined GEICO in 1997 as a sales counselor. He has held a number of positions including sales supervisor, claims adjuster, underwriting supervisor and customer service manager.
GEICO CEO Tony Nicely said, Don’s breadth of experience makes him the ideal choice to take on the underwriting responsibilities in Lakeland.
In addition to auto insurance, GEICO offers customers insurance products for their motorcycles, all-terrain vehicles (ATVs), and mobile homes. Coverage for life, boats, homes and apartments is available through the GEICO Insurance Agency. Commercial auto insurance and personal umbrella protection are also available.
