All new businesses will be written on the new Dwelling Fire One or Dwelling Fire Three policies

Michigan-based Foremost Insurance has expanded its dwelling fire program in Oregon, launching new policies and endorsements for the needs of landlord, owner-occupied or vacant properties – reported in Insurance Journal.

Foremost is enhancing its program to include standard and preferred business. All new businesses will be written on the new Dwelling Fire One or Dwelling Fire Three policies, while current customers will be moved into the new program at renewal. Base rates have been lowered by 25%, said the journal.

The company will insure rental units in superior condition and rentals with some minor problems. This new program offers lower rates to customers with credit or if they are members of an association, screen tenants or use a property management company.
