Flexible Benefit Service (Flex) has partnered with the Chicagoland Chamber of Commerce to offer its InsureXSolutions private health insurance exchange (PHIX) to latter's uninsured business members.

According to the company, the InsureXSolutions will promote a defined contribution funding model enabling the uninsured employers to set their own budget and also help employees with health care expenses.

The web platform will also serve as an online insurance marketplace for the employees to shop, compare and apply for health, medicare, short-term and vision insurance, according to their personal requirements.

Flex president John DiVito said, ”We firmly believe that all employers should have the ability to offer benefits to employees and InsureXSolutions is the ideal solution."

Chicagoland Chamber of Commerce Small Business Development director Damian Silver added, "Partnering with Flex allows us to provide more options to our membership base and offer support and educational programs to those that need it most."

As part of the agreement, Chicagoland Chamber business members will also have direct access to Flex’s varied programs, such as flexible spending accounts (FSAs), health savings accounts (HSAs), health reimbursement arrangements (HRAs) and transit/parking reimbursement accounts (TRAs), as well as COBRA administration.

The Chicagoland Chamber of Commerce has over 2,000 business members requiring health insurance services and support.
