Fidelity National Financial (FNF), a provider of title insurance, mortgage services, and specialty insurance services, has hired George Scanlon as its new chief operating officer.

Mr Scanlon will be responsible for finance, treasury, investor relations and corporate functions, as well as FNF’s specialty insurance business.

Mr Scanlon has joined FNF from Fidelity National Information Services, where he served as corporate executive vice president for finance since October 2009 and executive vice president and CFO from July 2008 to September 2009.
