Freberg Environmental Insurance (FEI) has inked an agreement to underwrite environmental insurance coverage in collaboration with Berkley Custom Insurance Managers, a newly formed member company of W R Berkley.
The underwriter said that it is expanding its product offering to include lender liability, general liability with products pollution, and stand-alone excess liability.
The insurer also offers core environmental programs for site-specific pollution liability and environmental consultants and contractors.
Under the new agreement, all products will be underwritten on behalf of W R Berkley member insurance companies, all of which are rated A+ (Superior) by AM Best Company, the firm said.
FEI president and managing partner Stacy Brown said, "Our move to Berkley Custom was a natural next step in FEI’s evolution."
Berkley Custom president and chief executive officer Michael Fujii said, "FEI is a leader in the environmental specialty market segment that has provided superior service to its customers for over twenty years."
Denver based FEI is a managing general agency specializing in environmental insurance coverage, which offers numerous insurance products for property owners, autos owners, consultants and contractors.
