Enstar Group, a Bermuda company that acquires and manages insurance and reinsurance companies, and its subsidiary, Enstar Australia Holdings have acquired AMP's closed reinsurance and insurance operations.
The net purchase price was approximately $417 million of which $285 million was from bank financing, $40 million from JC Flowers II, by way of non-voting equity participation and approximately $92 million from available cash on hand.
