UCare, a provider of health care and administrative services, has signed an agreement with Education Minnesota to offer the health plan's Group UCare for Seniors Medicare Advantage coverage to eligible members of statewide professional organization.

Education Minnesota comprises 70,000 members who work in pre-kindergarten through 12th-grade public schools, Minnesota’s community and technical colleges and University of Minnesota campuses in Duluth and Crookston. Education Minnesota members are retired educators and are student teachers.

The organization sponsors several membership benefits, including long-term care insurance, auto and home insurance, mortgage and realty services, travel, credit card, and other savings and discount programs for members. Education Minnesota’s benefit affiliate, Economic Services has partnered with UCare to make the Group UCare for Seniors plan available to approximately 6,000 Education Minnesota members and their spouses who are retired school employees, and who are or were eligible for membership in Education Minnesota and its Education Minnesota Retired program.
