Ecclesiastical Insurance has selected IPK's edgeConnect user experience platform (UXP) to help expand the use of its policy administration system to any and all authorized users, creating an ideal user environment for policy transactions.

According to edge IPK, the solution’s "configure once – distribute anywhere" model will help Ecclesiastical offer new multi-channel distribution capabilities to its customers.

edgeConnect will enable Ecclesiastical to achieve a greater return on previous technology investments, following integration with its Insure Plus (I+) Administration System.

The first channel intended for production use is Ecclesiastical’s broker community.

Ecclesiastical’s IT director Mike Burnup said edgeConnect will enable the company to maximise benefits from its back-office investment and further extend reach to online users.

"edge IPK has provided us with a user experience platform that not only enables us to enhance the user experience for our customers, but also allows us to get products to market at a speed which will give us a significant competitive advantage," Burnup added.

edge IPK North American President Wendy Aarons-Corman said many insurance companies are still using old and inflexible technology-based legacy platforms, which are unable to provide a quality on line user experience.

"By extending the legacy system’s usefulness and life with a modern user experience, insurers get the best of both worlds — solving a legacy challenge and providing functionality, information, and easy access to all users, whether customers, employees, partners, distribution channels, or vendors," Aarons-Corman added.
