Deutsche Bank’s Asset Management division has announced that Kaj Ahlmann has joined the firm as a managing director and global head of strategic business development in Deutsche Insurance Asset Management.

He is based in San Francisco and reports to Randy Brown, managing director and global head of Deutsche Insurance Asset Management.

Ahlmann was formerly chairman, president and CEO of Employers Reinsurance at GE Capital Services and has over 35 years of experience in the insurance industry. He currently serves on the boards of Cyrus Re, The American Institute for CPCU, RLI Corporation and Six Sigma Academy.

He will continue to chair Deutsche Insurance Asset Management’s Global Insurance Advisory Council, a group of senior executives and industry experts who provide analysis of the critical issues and trends facing the insurance industry. The council advises company management on the products and services that will meet the long-term needs of clients.
