Disiere took over as CEO in 1987

David Disiere, CEO of the Dallas-based Deep South Insurance Group, a managing general agency (MGA), has announced his plans to step down.

In 2008, QBE US Agencies, a partner of Deep South and a subsidiary of QBE Insurance Group, purchased Deep South from Mr Disiere for $190m. Since closing the sale in June 2008, he continued to serve as the company’s CEO to ensure a successful transition.

Mr Disiere took over as CEO in 1987, eventually moving Deep South to its current headquarters in Dallas and growing operations across the country.

He, said: “It’s been a privilege to serve with so many wonderful people. I’m proud of what we’ve accomplished together over the years, growing Deep South into an industry leader. But now is the time for me to step aside as CEO and move on to other opportunities.”
