CSC has licensed components of its Integral insurance administration software suite to Aviva Life Insurance Company India, under a deal signed by both parties in the first quarter of fiscal 2013.

As part of Aviva India’s business systems change program, Aviva India’s existing core insurance system will be replaced by Integral Life and other Web-enabled Integral components to help the insurer serve life insurance customers through multiple channels, including agents, bancassurance partners and the Internet.

A CSC team will provide the implementation, migration, customization, training and testing of the Integral components, as part of the agreement.

The system’s scalable platform enhances operational performance for increased productivity, improve service to customers and distributors, and pursue new opportunities quickly, CSC said.

Aviva India chief operating officer Snehil Gambhir said insurance is a highly competitive industry, and the company recognizes the need to implement a robust product like Integral to better manage its operations.

"Integral will pave the way for faster product roll-out, enhanced customer service and more efficient processes, strengthening our position in the life insurance market," Gambhir added.

"Integral’s broad and extensive functionality provides operational value to our internal and external stakeholders and will help Aviva India to prepare for both known and future insurance requirements."

Aviva Life Insurance, a joint venture floated by Dabur Group and Aviva Group, offers a comprehensive suite of underwriting products to individuals and corporate in India.
