Department would have access to thousands of proprietary and nationally accepted Insurance exam items by using bank-based testing

Prometric, a global provider of technology-enabled testing and assessment services, has sealed a contract with the Connecticut Insurance Department to provide exam delivery and continuing education services.

The Department will have access to thousands of proprietary and nationally accepted Insurance exam items by using bank-based testing, which is developed by Prometric’s test development team.

The bank-based testing adds to the integrity of the exams held, the company claims. Each question on an exam is randomly pulled from a bank of thousands, each candidate taking the exam has a completely different test. No two candidates will take the exact same exam, maintaining the integrity of the test.

To better accommodate candidates within and around Connecticut, all of the Department’s exams will now only be available at Prometric test centers, which are already operational and established.
