Colonial Life & Accident Insurance Company has launched a new healthcare microsite that provides employers easy access to information on benefits changes.

Information about the Affordable Care Act’s impending requirements, guidance on decisions, and changes will be provided for small business owners, human resources executives and benefits managers for implementation.

Colonial Life assistant vice president of marketing analysis and programs Steve Bygott said that the site shows employers how good communication, with them and with their employees, can help with many of their concerns.

The site explains some of the legislation’s changes and reforms affecting employers and employees in an easy-to-understand way through a new video.

Other sections of the site provide more detail on coverage mandates, market reforms, reporting requirements and exchanges.

"Our goal with the microsite and all of these tools is to help customers understand their options, no matter what size business they have or what path they decide to take in this new benefits era," Bygott added.
