Includes both out-of-network coverage and in-network coverage

Clear One Health Plans has launched Medicare Advantage PPO plan. The plan includes both out-of-network coverage and in-network coverage in Central Oregon, Southern California, and Arizona.

The new plan is available from January 1, 2010, for residents in Deschutes and Crook counties. The company has claimed that the plan provides health care coverage through in-network doctors in Central Oregon, Palm Springs, CA and Phoenix, AZ. Members may also see any out-of-network doctor accepting Medicare in the US utilizing their out of network benefits, and worldwide coverage for urgent and emergency care.

The company said that the residents must be enrolled in Medicare Part A and B, and must not have End Stage Renal Disease. Besides these, no other exclusions or health conditions are applied. Members who have enrolled can see specialists without referrals and Part D prescription drug coverage is included. They pay less for services provided by in-network doctors than services provided by out-of-network doctors.

Patricia Gibford, president and CEO of Clear One Health Plans, said: “Our members have been asking for a plan they can take with them wherever they go. Our new PPO plan was designed for members who have a second home in Palm Springs or Phoenix areas or who travel and want the reassurance of being covered, and want the peace of mind of being covered in the places they call home.

“Unlike any other plan offered in the area, members have both the security to see in-network doctors, which are doctors who are contracted with Clear One and have agreed to see our members, as well as the freedom to see out-of-network doctors anywhere in the US.

Steven Dorfman, MD and president of Empire Physicians Medical Group, said: “We look forward to being a part of this new partnership with Clear One Health Plans. Since 1986 we have remained committed to improving the health and well being of our patents and are excited to offer our expertise to Clear One members.”
