The California Insurance Guarantee Association (CIGA) has appointed EMPLOYERS’ senior vice president and chief claims officer Stephen Festa as chairman of the Board of Governors.
Most recently, Festa served as the CIGA board’s vice chair.
Festa represented EMPLOYERS as an Insurer Member since the joining in the CIGA board in 2009 and remains the C-level claims executive to serve on the board.
The CIGA operates under the California Insurance Code and pays insolvent property and casualty insurance carriers claims which include covered property, casualty, and workers’ compensation insurance claims of insolvent insurance companies.
Since 2004, Festa held services with EMPLOYERS and its Employers Compensation Insurance Company subsidiary as senior vice president and chief claims officer.
