Carole Nash, a UK motorcycle insurance intermediary, has appointed David Newman as its new managing director.

The appointment has been made following the recent departure of former managing director Allister Hill. In his previous role, he was marketing director for Co-operative Bank, internet banking operation Smile and for Co-operative Insurance Society, where he was responsible for all marketing as well as e-business, channel planning, product development, management and pricing across the three Co-operative brands.

Commenting on the appointment, Carole Nash’s chairman, Pierre Lefevre, said: We are delighted to have attracted such a high-calibre individual to fulfill what is a very demanding role in what is a dynamic and successful business. David brings high-level executive experience from one of the UK’s biggest and most respected financial organizations, together with tremendous expertise in brand development having worked with some of the UK’s most loyal and trusted businesses.
