Capitol Insurance Companies has appointed Richard Allen III, current senior vice president of surety and fidelity underwriting, as president of surety and fidelity operations, to include all line underwriting and claims functions.
Mr Allen’s 25 years of experience in the surety and fidelity business, along with his focus on profitability, ease of doing business and agent customer relationships, are considered his strengths by the company.
Mr Allen has been actively involved with outside fidelity and surety organizations, serving as vice chair, fidelity and surety law committee of the American Bar Association; co-chair, contract surety subcommittee of the American Bar Association; co-chair and director, National Bond Claim Association; past president, New England Bond Claim Association and the Surety Association of America.
