Macedonia and Canada have signed an agreement in Ottawa under which about 200,000 Macedonians living in Canada will be able to exercise their rights, deriving from the pension, disability insurance – reported mina.
As per the agreement, the Macedonians living in Canada, after their retirement, will now be able to return to Macedonia and receive the pension there.
The agreement will be effective in the first half of 2010, after the completion of the ratification procedure at the Parliaments of both the countries.
Possibility for Canada to annul the visa requirements for the citizens of Macedonia was also discussed at the Prime Ministerial meeting between the two countries.
