Karl Mayr and Michael Morrill would serve as Chairman and Deputy Chairman of AXIS Re, respectively
Bermuda-based AXIS Capital Holdings, a provider of specialty lines insurance and treaty reinsurance, has promoted William Fischer as CEO of AXIS Re, a reinsurance segment of AXIS Capital. The latter comprises reinsurance underwriting operations, including the AXIS Re Bermuda, AXIS Re Europe, and AXIS Re US business units.
Mr. Fischer would commence the management of all reinsurance business units, besides continuing as a member of AXIS Capital’ Executive Management Group and Risk Management Committee. He will report directly to John Charman, CEO and President of AXIS Capital.
Mr. Fischer will be supported by Karl Mayr and Michael Morrill, who will serve as Chairman and Deputy Chairman of AXIS Re, besides their existing responsibilities as CEO of AXIS Re Europe and CEO of AXIS Re US, respectively.
Mr. Fischer previously served as CEO and President of AXIS Re Bermuda.
