Axis Global Accident & Health, a division of Axis Capital Holdings, has appointed Alfred Drowne as the new senior vice president of business development.

In his new role, Mr Drowne, will be responsible for heading the company’s initiatives to expand its distribution and product offering of accident, travel, supplemental health and related products and services across mass marketing channels, including financial institutions, associations, affinity groups and mass market segments.

Previously, Mr Drowne served as a vice president at Chubb & Son, where he held leadership roles in its US group benefits operation, US consumer solutions, and financial institutions businesses.

Prior to joining Chubb, Mr Drowne, held leadership positions at CNA Financial and Hartford Property and Casualty, and also served for several years in various field, corporate agency and marketing roles at other companies.
