AXA Equitable Life Insurance Company has elected Andrea Nitzan as its new senior vice president of expense management.

In her new role Ms Nitzan leads AXA Equitable’s annual budget process and coordinates enterprise-wide expense management, including accounting, reporting, analysis and forecasting. She serves as the senior business partner between finance and other business areas.

Ms Nitzan leads a team of finance professionals who work with these business unit leaders to identify and provide the critical expense information, metrics, and advice necessary to achieve corporate financial goals.

Ms Nitzan became the vice president of expense management in July 2007. Previously, from 1997 to July 2007, she served as the vice president and deputy controller of insurance accounting, responsible for all general ledger financial data related to insurance operations.

Ms Nitzan joined AXA Equitable in 1996 as assistant vice president and chief of staff to then CFO, Stanley Tulin. Prior to joining AXA Equitable, she was a senior business assurance manager for PricewaterhouseCoopers.
