US-based AssuredPartners has acquired Illinois-based American Westbrook Insurance Services (AWIS), for an undisclosed sum.
The agency provides full service coverage in commercial property and casualty, executive liability, employee benefits, financial services and personal insurance, as well as offers solutions in risk management and human capital management.
AssuredPartners president and COO Tom Riley said: "The American Westbrook Insurance Services acquisition continues to strengthen our presence in the Midwest."
As part of the deal, AWIS’ 70 employees will join AssuredPartners and the agency will continue to trade under the American Westbrook brand. Its operations will continue at the Westchester location, under the local leadership of CEO and president Kent Nelson.
Nelson said: "We are excited about the many benefits that this new partnership with AssuredPartners brings to our clients, employees and overall agency — from expanded resources to new carrier relationships to enhanced market reach."
According to AssuredPartners, AWIS agency reports revenues of around $14.5m.
AssuredPartners, a portfolio company of Chicago-based private equity firm GTCR, invests in insurance brokerage businesses across the US and in London.
