American Safety Insurance (ASI) has launched professional liability unit offering directors and officers (D&O) and errors and omissions (E&O) coverage for specialty risks.
The team at professional liability unit will be lead by Peter McKeegan, and it will focus on primary and following-form excess liability D&O for public, private and non-profit entities; stand alone employment practices liability insurance (EPLI); and fiduciary liability.
McKeegan has over 25 years of D&O and E&O experience, majority of his career was with AIG. He was involved in the start-up of the D&O operations at Arch, IronPro and most recently Rockhill Insurance.
Vincent McGee will be the lead underwriter for ASI’s E&O product, which will focus primary and excess coverage for miscellaneous professional liability risks, lawyers and insurance agents.
McGee has 20 years of experience in the primary and reinsurance E&O marketplace, working at Allied World Assurance, Everest Re, Zurich and AIG.
ASI US Insurance Operations president Joseph Scollo said, the addition of professional liability is a logical addition to product platform and provides a broader offering of specialty products to the company’s brokers and agents.
