Illinois-based insurance brokerage Arthur J. Gallagher & Co. (AJG) has completed the acquisition of Ohio-based retail insurance broker Schiff, Kreidler-Shell Insurance and Risk Services (SKS).

As part of the acquisition, SKS chairman and CEO Thomas Dietz and his team will continue operations from the company’s Cincinnati and Edgewood, Kentucky locations as Gallagher SKS under the direction of Gallagher Midwest retail property/casualty brokerage operations head Thomas Gallagher.

Arthur J. Gallagher chairman, president and CEO Patrick Gallagher said the combined resources will improve the company’s geographic presence in the region while their expertise will be a great complement to its property/casualty and benefits brokerage operations.

Terms of the transaction were not disclosed by the two companies.

SKS provides property and casualty, employee benefits and risk management insurance and consulting services to its clients throughout the central US.

Arthur J. Gallagher & Co. has operations in 17 countries and offers client-service capabilities in more than 110 nations.
