US-based insurance brokerage and risk management services firm Arthur J. Gallagher & Co. (AJG) has acquired Insurance Associates, for an undisclosed sum.

Insurance Associates is an insurance broker, which offers retail property/casualty and risk management insurance services for commercial and personal lines clients in the Western US.

Established in 1919, the company is specialized in placing coverage for farms, ranches and water and sanitation operations, as well as nonprofit organizations and public entities.

Under the leadership of Gallagher’s western retail property/casualty brokerage operations head James McFarlane, Insurance Associates’ Shelley Doggett, Charles Hix III and their associates will continue to operate in their current locations.
