US-based insurance brokerage and risk management services firm Arthur J. Gallagher & Co. (AJG) has acquired California-based Discovery Benefit Solutions, for an undisclosed amount.
Established in 2008, DBS offers employee benefit consultation, management and brokerage services for group and individual clients in the western US.

DBS is specialized in self-funded medical, dental and vision programs, as well as benefit solutions for the bio-tech, hi-tech, charter school, medical group and manufacturing industries.
Under the leadership of Gallagher’s western employee benefit consulting and brokerage operations head Norbert Chung, DBS’ Brenda Fagan-Johnson, Michael Lutosky, Michael Pondrom and their associates will continue to operate in their current location.

Last week, AJG has also acquired Insurance Associates that offers retail property/casualty and risk management insurance services for commercial and personal lines clients in the Western US.
With operations in around 30 countries, AJG offers client service capabilities in around 140 countries across the globe through a network of correspondent brokers and consultants.
