US insurance brokerage and risk management services firm Arthur J Gallagher & Co has acquired Nebraska based independent employee benefits consulting firm Brendis & Brendis, for an undisclosed sum.
The acquired enterprise also offers welfare strategic planning, plan design, risk assessment, employee communications and compliance services for its employer group clients in the Midwest region.
Following the purchase, Ron Brendis, Janet Brendis and their associates will continue to operate from their current location under the leadership of John Neumaier.
Neumaier is serving as South Central Regional executive vice president of Gallagher’s employee benefit consulting and brokerage operations.
Chairman, president and CEO J Patrick Gallagher, Jr said the geographical coverage and consulting expertise of Brendis & Brendis will boost the firm’s employee benefits operations in the Midwest region.
