US insurance brokerage firm Arthur J Gallagher & Co has acquired Triad in a deal with undisclosed terms of the transaction.

The insurer has launched an acquisition spree for the past few months in order to emerge as the largest player in the US insurance arena.

Under the merger agreement inked, Gus Georgiadis, James McTiernan, James Patton and their colleagues will continue to operate at their current location under the supervision of David Ziegler, executive vice president and eastern regional manager of Gallagher’s employee benefits consulting and brokerage operations.

Arthur J Gallagher & Co president and CEO J Patrick Gallagher, Jr said, Triad is well-known in the industry for having a wealth of experience, exceptional carrier relationships and a commitment to strong, long-term client partnerships.

"Their culture-based, team approach to quality client service and high levels of expertise will be an excellent complement to our employee benefits operations. We are pleased to welcome Gus, Jim, Jim and their associates to our growing Gallagher family of professionals," Gallagher added.

Established in 1998, Triad caters employee benefits brokerage and consulting services including tailored benefit plan analytics and design, network management, employee communication and ongoing service support for their middle-market clients across the US.
