Arthur J Gallagher & Co, insurance brokerage and risk management services firm, has acquired Wisconsin-based retail insurance broker Fish & Schulkamp.
Founded in 1906, Fish & Schulkamp provides commercial property/casualty and risk management insurance services across the central US.
The Wisconsin broker specializes in the commercial/retail and industrial manufacturing and hospitality industries.
Eric Olson, owner of the Fish & Schulkamp and his associates will continue to operate in their Madison location under the direction of Thomas Gallagher, Midwest regional manager of Gallagher’s retail property/casualty brokerage operation.
Arthur J Gallagher & Co chairman, president and CEO Patrick Gallagher said the strong sales and service culture is one of the major characteristics the company looks for in an acquisition partner, and their expertise will be an excellent addition to retail brokerage operations.
The terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
This transaction follows opening a new representative office in Singapore, through the acquisition of the Singapore-based specialist broker, ITI Solutions.
