Under the leadership of Gallagher’s western region retail property/casualty brokerage operation head James G. McFarlane, Mark Swanson, David Swanson, Doug Helzer, Tom Ratzlaff and their team will continue to operate in their current location.

Arthur J. Gallagher & Co. chairman, president and CEO J. Patrick Gallagher, Jr. said: "Centennial is built on a culture that focuses on outstanding client partnerships, strong carrier relationships and team-based sales and service capabilities.

"Their strong Colorado presence and depth of expertise will be an excellent complement to our Western Region brokerage operations, and we are extremely pleased to welcome Mark, David, Doug, Tom and their colleagues to our growing Gallagher family of professionals."

Earlier this month, the firm acquired Mississippi-based McPherson Benefits Group that offers employee benefit consultation, management and brokerage services for larger employer clients in the southern US.

In October this year, AJG acquired Ohio-based Sigma II Insurance Agency, which provides a broad range of employee benefits products and consulting services to their commercial and individual clients across the Midwest.
