Arrowhead General Insurance Agency, a San Diego-based property and casualty insurance program manager, has acquired specialty insurance agency, Trafalgar Marine Insurance Services.
Trafalgar is a national program manager and wholesale producer of marine insurance classes such as recreational and high performance yachts, commercial marine and marine artisan contractors.
Trafalgar also has programs for luxury homes, property, builders risk and specialty commercial insurance.
According to the Arrowhead, the acquisition will allow Arrow to expand its specialty and personal lines franchises as well to enhance the product offering for its network of producers and brokers.
Arrowhead said that its corporate infrastructure and resources will provide a streamlined integration of this specialty program and help the Trafalgar team execute a well-defined expansion plan.
Arrowhead chief financial officer and executive vice president Mac Armstrong said Trafalgar’s expertise in the personal and commercial marine space is extremely complimentary to various lines programs.
