Argenta Private Capital Limited (APCL), the Lloyd's members' agency subsidiary of Argenta Holdings, has appointed David Williams as new managing director, effective 1 June 2011.
Williams will succeed Graham White, who will become chairman of APCL.
David has 30 year of experience in the insurance industry and will join APCL from fellow Argenta subsidiary Argenta Syndicate Management Limited (ASML), where he has been operations and claims director since 2008.
Williams joined ASML having held several senior appointments in the market including head of marine at the Lloyd’s claims office.
He also spent four years in the US, as senior vice president at insurer Houston Casualty and at broker Soreiro & Seffens.
Argenta Holdings CEO Andrew Annandale said David’s experience in the insurance industry spans underwriting, broking and claims in the UK and US. This gives him a unique insight into the Lloyd’s market and the wider insurance industry.
"His broad range of experience makes him ideally placed to lead APCL and provide its clients with the best possible advice and service when managing their underwriting affairs," Annandale said.
