Oceanwide, a provider of collaborative internet-based software, has announced that Aon, a provider of risk management solutions, has agreed to use its Genoa marine insurance system to help manage ocean cargo policies for Aon clients in the United States.

Oceanwide’s Genoa system is an internet-based, collaborative end-to-end solution for all lines of marine insurance that offers real-time collaboration for brokers, underwriters, policy holders and other associated third parties.

Genoa simplifies policy creation, document issuance, premium booking, billing & collections, renewals and endorsements. It generates cargo insurance certificates over the web, captures shipment & storage declarations and offers comprehensive claims management functionality. Genoa’s compliance engine enforces policy restrictions and eliminates errors, and its analytical tools simplify the process of managing cargo risk.

Robert DeMotta, managing director of the US marine practice at Aon Risk Services, said: Oceanwide was the clear choice for us. We believe that the certificate and claims management modules will improve our customer service efficiency and provide important value-added services for our clients, particularly ready access to live claims data and analysis.
