Risk advisor and insurance broker Aon Corporation has appointed Gregory Besio, currently serving as executive vice president of global strategy, to the additional role of chief administrative officer.

In this role, Mr Besio takes responsibility for managing governance, human resources, and mergers and acquisitions, in addition to corporate strategy.

Mr Besio has joined Aon in 2007 as senior vice president of global strategy. Most recently, he served as the corporate vice president of mobile devices software at Motorola.

Mr Besio is a graduate in chemical engineering from the University of Notre Dame, and earned a doctoral degree in the same discipline from Princeton University. He also holds a masters degree in business administration from the University of Chicago.
