ANV Underwriters, an international managing general underwriter (MGU) of speciality insurance group ANV, has introduced new North America Miscellaneous Professional Liability (MPL) product.
The new MPL product, which will expand the firm’s North American financial lines products, is said to strengthen ANV’s MGU presence in the US market.
ANV US financial lines director Peter McKeegan said: "Miscellaneous Professional Liability forms a significant part of the account portfolio for most our wholesale brokers.
"Being able to service the needs of our brokers with both Management Liability and Professional Liability products within one group has been a main objective of ours in making ANV a key specialty lines carrier in the US market".
The new team, led by John Birkhofer, will underwrite MPL for the US market out of ANV’s New Jersey office.
Under the leadership of Birkhofer, the MGU will focus on MPL product with specific interest on middle-market primary risks, as well as follow-form excess liability for both middle market and larger accounts.
ANV offers underwriting for specialty risk solutions for global organizations as an MGU and as a risk-bearing insurer.
