AmTrust Financial Services, has reported third quarter 2011 net income totaled $35.1m, or $0.57 per diluted share for the third quarter of 2011 up from $39.3m, or $0.64 per diluted share in the third quarter of 2010.
The company posted operating earnings of $42.2m, or $0.68 per diluted share up from $35.7m, or $0.58 per diluted share, in the third quarter of 2010.
Total revenue of $373.4m increased $103.8m, or 38.5%, from $269.6m in the third quarter of 2010.
Net written premium of $321.9m increased $139.1m, or 76.1%, from $182.8m in the third quarter of 2010. Gross written premium of $561.2m rose $222.1m, or 65.5%, from third quarter 2010.
During the first nine months of 2011, operating earnings totaled $138.8m, or $2.25 per diluted share, up from $103.8m, or $1.72 per diluted share, in the first nine months of 2010.
Net income totaled $130.4m or $2.12 per diluted share, up from $108.8m or $1.80 per diluted share, in the first nine months of 2010.
