Amlin, a UK-based specialist insurance and reinsurance underwriting group, has appointed Andreas Luberichs to the new role of group head of underwriting.

Luberichs will be responsible for ensuring that all divisions across the group operate in accordance with Amlin’s underwriting culture, standards and philosophy.

Luberichs will join 7 March as a member of the group executive management team and will be based in the London headquarters.

Luberichs has spent the past 17 years of his 20 year career with Chubb Europe. Having initially trained as a commercial property underwriter, he gained broad experience across all commercial lines, managing business development and restructuring across all European locations and the commercial facultative reinsurance program.

In 2000, Luberichs was appointed vice president and from 2001 onwards, held senior positions in commercial property, inland marine and machinery breakdown.

Amlin chief executive Charles Philipps said as Amlin grows, whether organically or by acquisition, Luberichs’s depth of underwriting and management experience will be invaluable in ensuring consistent standards and broker service is provided across the Group.
