Cincinnati-based American Financial Group has named Kim Baird as the new vice president - tax of the company.

In his new role, Baird will report to the company’s senior vice president Thomas Mischell.

Baird joined the company in 1985 and has held a number of tax-related positions, most recently serving as assistant vice president of the taxes.

Prior to joining the company, Baird has worked for Peat Marwick (predecessor of KPMG) from 1980 to 1985.

American Financial Group is an insurance holding company, which provides property and casualty insurance, focusing on specialized commercial products for businesses, and in sale of traditional fixed, indexed and variable annuities and variety of supplemental insurance products.
