The policyholders would have access to major PPO networks

American Community Mutual Insurance Company (American Community) has launched Latitude, a small group product that is likely to allow employers to customise a health plan with benefits that their employees want.

Neal Spero, senior vice president and chief marketing officer, American Community, said: With multiple plan designs, a wide array of covered services, varied benefit choices and an option for a Health Reimbursement Arrangement (HRA), employers can create a custom health plan to balance employee healthcare needs and their budget. Optional benefits are available to help employers save even more. For example, by adding a hospital copay, employers can save up to 17% on their base medical premium.

According to American Community, the policyholders will have access to leading PPO (preferred provider organisation) networks, providing hospitals, primary care physicians and specialists in Arizona, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Michigan, Missouri and Ohio. In addition, Latitude benefits include accident, family security and national travel benefit for coast to coast coverage, besides a $5 million medical lifetime coverage.
