Alteris, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Argo Group International Holding, has partnered with Allied World Assurance to launch the new expanded WaterPlus Insurance Program.

Underwritten by Allied’s US-based subsidiaries, the new program is designed specifically to cater the needs of special-service districts, with an emphasis on water-associated bodies.

Alteris president Hilbert Schenck II said, ”WaterPlus blends the financial security and global resources of Allied World with the niche-specific underwriting, distribution, risk control, and claims expertise of Alteris.”

The program provides insurance services and progressive risk management strategies to public water and sewer districts in all states, excluding Alaska, Florida and Hawaii.

The coverages include package, public officials and management liability, employment practices, automobile, excess, and Privacy 101.

WaterPlus can also be configured to suit customers needs, such as failure to supply, water/wastewater errors and omissions, first-and-third-party pollution, blanket property and SCADA upgrades.

Alteris Insurance Services Strategic Markets vice president Paul Fuller will manage the program from its offices in San Francisco and Boston, US.
