Allied World Reinsurance Management's Miami operation has received approval to serve as a Lloyd's coverholder to insure treaty business on behalf of Allied World's Lloyd's Syndicate 2232, further boosting its presence in the region.

Syndicate 2232, also known as AWH was launched in June 2010, with an aim to boost Allied World’s international platform and capabilities.

According to the insurer, the coverholder will provide a number of property and casualty insurance products and services.

Syndicate 2232’s active underwriter Darren Powell said, "This coverholder is a cost-effective way for Allied World Reinsurance to build-out operations regionally and continue to provide its trading partners with the exceptional security and service they have come to expect."

Allied World Assurance offers property, casualty and specialty insurance and reinsurance products, through a network of offices and branches, globally.

Lloyd’s Syndicate 2232 is run by Capita Managing Agency, a subsidiary of The Capita Group, and is also authorized by Lloyd’s and the Financial Services Authority of the UK.
