Allianz Life Insurance Company, a provider of annuities and life insurance, has promoted Andy Dulka to vice president of IT infrastructure and application maintenance, where he will be responsible for leadership and oversight of the company’s technology infrastructure and the application maintenance activities.

Mr Dulka joined the company as chief architect in the IT division, where he was responsible for enterprise architecture for application development and infrastructure services, as well as for the core infrastructure services and ITIL services. He was named CIO for the income management services division, and subsequently served as the VP of online channel management. He was the senior director of enterprise architecture.

Tom Bauer, chief information officer of Allianz, said: “During the past five months, Dulka has served as interim leader of the infrastructure and application maintenance team, where he successfully managed our strategic outsourcing contracts. We conducted an extensive search and realized the best candidate was already within our midst.”
