Has named Tom Bauer as new senior vice president and chief information officer
Allianz Life Insurance Company of North America (Allianz) has named Tom Bauer as new senior vice president and chief information officer. Mr. Bauer has served as interim CIO during the past three months.
Walter White, chief administrative officer of Allianz, said: “Tom will continue leading the company’s investment in technology, which is a key priority for Allianz Life. He is driving great momentum within the IT organization and identifying new ways for IT to propel business results.”
Mr. Bauer has over 20 years of experience in IT functions in a variety of industries, including financial services. He joined Allianz in 2003 as vice president of customer services, and subsequently led application and infrastructure services. He started his career with Electronic Data Systems and spent ten years with Chrysler Corporation. Most recently, he served as a director with Best Buy.
