Alliant Insurance Services has named Bill Nellen as the new executive vice president to direct its national environmental practice.

Nellen will be based in Alpharetta, Georgia, and along with his new responsibilities, he will also assume an ongoing servicing role with a number of corporate risk, energy and marine accounts.

Previously, Nellen worked for eight years as a broker with an international insurance brokerage firm where he most recently was a SVP and environmental practice leader for Midwest US.

Prior to that, Nellen has also served for Roy Weston and continued with later positions with both Zurich Risk Management and Marsh.

Alliant chairman and CEO Tom Corbett said that Bill Nellen’s technical knowledge of environmental science, combined with his expertise as a broker in this specialty sector, make him the ideal choice to lead and enhance the company’s national environmental practice.
