Alliant Insurance Services, a specialty insurance brokerage firm, has acquired ArlenGroup, a regional full-service employee benefits firm with offices in downtown San Francisco and Walnut Creek, California. ArlenGroup will continue to operate under its existing identity.
With a staff of over 40 benefit professionals, the 15-year-old firm focuses on meeting the benefits needs of companies with 50 to over 2,500 employees. ArlenGroup specializes in providing employee benefit solutions to technology and professional service firms, with a special expertise in the health and welfare benefits needs of medium and large size law firms.
ArlenGroup is headed by founder and CEO Roger Arlen and co-founder and vice president Bret Goodman.
Alliant chairman and CEO Tom Corbett said that this acquisition of ArlenGroup is a strategic move to expand Alliant’s employee benefits practice in the San Francisco Bay Area and throughout the country.
Arlen said that joining his firm with Alliant will provide ArlenGroup with new and expanded resources, market relationships, and a broad range of specialized services that will enhance the value delivered to clients.
