Corporate insurer Allianz Global Corporate & Specialty (AGCS) has introduced its suite of financial lines insurance products in the US.

Assuming the new role of regional head of financial lines North America, Paul Schiavone will develop the firm’s financial business in the country, strategically crucial market responsible for 60% of global financial lines premiums.

Schiavone will carry out the business, with the support of North America corporate regional head Hugh Burgess, financial lines global head Bernard Poncin and corporate lines chief underwriting officer Hartmut Mai.

He will also lead the North American team of existing Professional Indemnity (PI), Directors and Officers (D&O) and Errors and Omissions (E&O) teams in Canada, and the Professional Liability teams coming to AGCS as part of the Fireman’s Fund Commercial integration.

Burgess said: "By joining the existing groups in Canada with our Fireman’s Fund team, we have the opportunity to introduce an exceptional AGCS solution to our clients and brokers throughout North America."

AGCS, part of Allianz Group, carries out corporate and specialty insurance business. It operates in 28 countries with own units and in around 160 countries through the Allianz Group network and partners.
